An endowment is a lasting gift—one that continues to create impact year after year. At its core, an endowment is designed to provide long-term, sustainable support for educational and charitable programs that donors care deeply about.
All donations received by AEEF are used strictly in accordance with the donor’s wishes and for the specific program or purpose they designate. When a contribution is made toward an endowment, the funds are placed into an endowed fund aligned with the donor’s intent—such as an endowed scholarship or another named educational or community program.
While a minimum amount is defined for establishing an endowed scholarship, donors are welcome to contribute any amount toward an existing endowment fund. Every contribution, large or small, strengthens the endowment and helps ensure the continuity and growth of the supported program.
Endowed funds are professionally managed and invested in socially responsible investment portfolios, with the objective of preserving the principal while generating income. This income is then used to support the designated program on an ongoing basis, allowing the original gift to benefit generations to come.
